SEATTLE – May 3, 2017 –  NetHope, a global consortium of the world’s leading nonprofits, today announced three new members, bringing its total membership to 53. Among the new members is the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a Christian relief, service, and peace agency.

“When we were introduced to NetHope, it finally felt like we had found our peers – other NGOs who are facing the same challenges, opportunities, limitations, and dreams for their agencies. NetHope’s mission resonates well with MCC, and we are honored to be welcomed into your circle to share learnings and experiences,” said MCC Canada Executive Director Don Peters.

The Mennonite Central Committee is a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches that shares God’s love and compassion for all by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. MCC has offices in more than 50 countries, and also offers relief, development, or peacebuilding work in at least 10 more.

For new members, joining NetHope means being part of a mission-driven group that collectively is committed to applying the promise of technology to the problems of humanity. Member organizations have access to technical expertise of the group to strengthen their organizational capacity and enhance their technology leadership through training, collaboration opportunities and programs. They also receive support from technology and funding partners that share a commitment to using technology for good.

“It’s an honor to welcome the Mennonite Central Committee to NetHope membership,” said NetHope’s CEO Lauren Woodman. “MCC has a long tradition of sharing and learning from other NGOs, which aligns perfectly with NetHope’s own mission of collaboration.”
