Ipas a nongovernmental organization (NGO) dedicated to ending preventable deaths and disabilities from unsafe abortion, recently joined NetHope. The NetHope team warmly welcomes Ipas and looks forward to the new perspective and talents the organization brings to the membership.
Below are a few comments from Ralph Gill, Ipas Senior advisor for IT about the role of technology within Ipas and the benefits of being a part of NetHope.
Q: What role does technology play within your organization?
A: With 14 country offices, technology is essential to keep Ipas connected and working efficiently. It allows us to communicate instantly using services like instant messaging, video conferencing, and email. As we move forward, we see technology playing a growing role in how we support and improve our global organization programs.
Q: What are the benefits of being a part of NetHope?
A: Being a part of NetHope allows Ipas to grow as an organization by enabling the sharing of knowledge and experience among others working in the International development field. It will enable us to provide better services to our end users around the world. We are also looking forward to being able to share the technology lessons that we have learned as we continue working with NetHope in the near future.
