NetHope Members have a key role to play in the complex global Covid-19 vaccination effort. Our presence, questions and experiences help build a more complete picture around current challenges and opportunities for equitable vaccine distribution. This call was a milestone step towards our community’s collective action to help close the data gaps that are preventing equitable vaccine distribution.
For NetHope it was a privilege to bring our Members together with COVIDaction, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD) in this historic moment, and we hope you found the discussion as fascinating as we did.
As you know, the exciting open call from the Vaccine Data Co-Lab was officially launched on this NetHope call. This is a key opportunity get financial support for work to close data gaps and advance equitable and effective Covid-19 vaccine distribution in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). You can find full details about the open call here, and the press release here.
NetHope will soon be getting in touch with our Members to discuss ideas and opportunities geared toward this fund and our community’s collective action on other emerging items too, so please watch your inbox and your feeds in the NetHope NetWork.
Together, we can work with governments to close the data gaps and ensure no-one misses out on a Covid-19 vaccine.
As NetHope CEO Lance Pierce said at the end of our call, “the NetHope community is about impact and action. All of us together are a platform for unique collaboration at scale to tackle this crisis—and if we are successful, we may also be able to leave infrastructure, standards, frameworks and relationships of trust in place that will help with the next global health crisis.”
