Farhan Irshad is CFAO at Melwood, advancing the lives of people with disabilities. In his current role Farhan oversees finance, corporate counsel, contract management, and risk and safety functions.
Farhan is currently Chairman Board of Directors for NetHope, a consortium of 60 leading global nonprofits, empowering them to change the world through the power of technology. NetHope members deliver over 60 percent of all annual, international, non-governmental aid (more than $35 billion).
Previously, Farhan was COO at HIAS and oversaw transformative growth from $25m a year to over $150m a year in 8 years, making HIAS a leading voice for refugees globally. Farhan served as HIAS’ CFO from 2014 to 2018.
Farhan spent fourteen years at Save the Children, in variety of roles. From Continuous Improvement to global Finance Systems implementation. Farhan served at Save the Children International, a $2.2 billion NGO, as Head of Finance for International Programs in London. Farhan worked in financial and operational management positions at Save the Children’s offices in Afghanistan, Haiti, Iraq, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
Farhan’s career spans over 22 years working globally across all corners of the world.
Farhan was a first responder for the Indonesia Tsunami, Pakistan Earthquake, Darfur Crises and Haiti Earthquake. Farhan speaks 6 languages.
