Karl Lowe

Karl Lowe joined Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in 2016 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He provides strategic guidance in the areas of technology, knowledge management and continuous improvement; and leadership for CRS’ 160-person IT organization. Karl is passionate about improving the lives of the world’s most poor and vulnerable people by leveraging digital technologies to improve the effectiveness of CRS operations, donor engagement and administrative functions.Prior to joining CRS, Karl worked for Eaton as VP IT – EMEA and Global Operations Excellence. Living in Germany and Switzerland, he developed strategies, led large acquisitions and drove six Sigma and continuous improvement activities throughout Eaton’s global operations.  Karl held several other leading roles within Eaton’s IT function throughout his 18-year career with the company. Prior to joining Eaton, Karl worked for EDS where he consulted in the manufacturing, consumer products, government and wholesale industries. Karl graduated from Princeton University with a Chemistry degree and he received an MBA with Honors from the Case Western Reserve Weatherhead School of Management. He serves on several boards and is a member of the CIO Executive Council, a body tasked with improving IT leadership around the world.
