Tammy Gouldstone is the lead for the startup and scaling up of the new climate intersections initiative to improve the lives of vulnerable communities and make them more resilient to the adverse impact of climate change using digital technology and data solutions.
Prior to joining NetHope, Tammy led the Caritas office in Istanbul, Turkey and managed a diverse portfolio of programs for the wellbeing of the local migrant and refugee community. For more than 25 years, her leadership experience in the private and nonprofit sectors has taken her around the globe. She managed programming for large-scale emergency response programs such as the 2004 earthquake in North Sumatra, 2010 Haiti earthquake and more recently, the Syrian crisis in Turkey. She worked for NGOs such as Action Against Hunger, Medecins du Monde, Welthungerhilfe and World Vision International. She brings to NetHope her experience in program management, business development, capacity development and partner engagement.
Her entrepreneurial spirit led to a start-up consultancy in 2004 to provide project management, business development and corporate social responsibility solutions to the private and non-profit sectors in the areas of education, health, livelihoods and economic recovery.
Passionate about languages, Tammy speaks French, Italian, Bahasa Indonesia and Turkish. An active volunteer, she organizes programs in an elderly home and sits on the board of a local refugee community center. When time permits, Tammy enjoys hiking in the middle of nature and practicing or teaching yoga.
