Zarc Okere

Zarc is NetHope’s Cybersecurity Project Coordinator for the Digital Protection Program. His role provides a coordination layer, and a positive customer experience to all the stakeholders involved in this project.

Prior to joining NetHope Zarc worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as a Cyber Security Focal Point, a Regional ICT Specialist, and a Regional Helpdesk Technician, where he played a key role in education and capacity building, as well as technical expertise to Horn of Africa Region. Zarc has also been a volunteer at the CyberPeace Institutewhere he developed and nurtured trusted relationships with civil society organizations and corporations based in Africa. 

Zarc earned a B.Sc. in Information Technology majoring in Distributed Systems and a Diploma in Computer Engineering from the University of Nairobi.

Away from the office you will find him on the field playing soccer/football, watching documentaries, or reading autobiographies and volunteering his expertise in his local community.
