DUBLIN NetHope, a consortium of nearly 60 leading global nonprofits with a mission to change the world through the power of technology, announced Box, Oracle NetSuite, and Avanade have committed to becoming founding partners of its newest initiative, The Center for the Digital Nonprofit.
Lauren Woodman, CEO of NetHope, announced the new founding partners today during her keynote at the NetHope Global Summit 2018, in Dublin, Ireland. This event has drawn over 500 attendees from global nonprofits around the world, which collectively deliver over 60 percent of all annual, international, non-governmental aid.
As founding partners of The Center, Box, NetSuite, and Avanade have signaled their intention to play both a strategic and practical role. They will invest money, products, and expertise in The Center. Each brings distinctive strengths and opportunities to this collaboration, and they join forces with three initial founding partners and technology leaders: Microsoft, Okta, and Blackbaud.
These new entrants present exciting implications for The Center and our goal of digitally transforming the global nonprofit sector to improve the world we share, explained Lauren Woodman, CEO of NetHope. The only way we can do this important work is through collaboration, and collaboration is at the heart of the Box business model. Innovation cant be achieved without strong system infrastructure in place. Thats why for us, this work with NetSuite is a key entry point into digital transformation for nonprofit organizations. Avanade brings an incredible brain trust of digital innovation capabilities and knowledge of the Microsoft technologies. When you combine the incredible global reach of these partners, The Center is really poised for success.
It's a tremendous privilege and opportunity to engage with The Center for the Digital Nonprofit. While we see remarkable innovation in the nonprofit sector, many organizations face capacity challenges that hinder their digital transformation. We believe that organizations committed to doing good and serving others need transformative technology partners that will help them be more connected, productive, and effective in achieving their goals, said Bryan Breckenridge, Executive Director of Box.org, Boxs social impact initiative, which provides more than 7,000 nonprofit organizations with the capacity-building resources they need to innovate and fulfill their mission.
NetHope provides access to world-class tools, resources, and technology for member organizations, said Evan Goldberg, executive vice president of development, Oracle NetSuite. As one of the founding partners of The Center for the Digital Nonprofit, we are excited to support this amazing initiative by helping put the power of cloud technology into the hands of nonprofits around the world. By providing NetHope members access to our technology, we are helping organizations operate more efficiently so they can focus resources on expanding their missions rather than running their back office."
Avanade launched Technology for Social Good with the ambition to become a trusted partner to nonprofit organizations and the social sector. In partnership with Microsoft Philanthropies, we will help nonprofits to digitally transform and innovate with Microsoft technologies. NetHopes Center for the Digital Nonprofit enables us to become part of the fabric of the social sector, bringing our ambition one step closer to reality, said Pamela Maynard, Avanade Executive Sponsor, Technology for Social Good and President, Product and Innovation.
Today, The Center for the Digital Nonprofit also announced the release of its second white paper this year, The Digital Nonprofit Skills Assessment, which was sponsored by #ImpactCloud members, a group that also includes Box.org and Oracle NetSuite.
