SEATTLE May 3, 2017 NetHope, a global consortium of the worlds leading nonprofits, today announced three new members, bringing its total membership to 53. Among the new members is Marie Stopes International, which provides family-planning resources in 37 countries.
We are delighted to join the NetHope community and we look forward to collaborating with fellow non-profit organizations, said Daniela Weber, Chief Information Officer at Marie Stopes International. Technology is a big enabler for development and by working together we can increase the positive impact it creates on the communities we serve, as well as make our own operations more efficient and responsive.
Marie Stopes International is a global organization providing personalized contraception and safe abortion services to women and girls. Their local teams of professionals are passionate about the work they do in communities around the world, and the high quality services they provide give a woman the power to choose if and when she has children so that shes free to pursue her plans and dreams for herself and her family.
For new members, joining NetHope means being part of a mission-driven group that is collectively committed to applying the promise of technology to the problems of humanity. Member organizations have access to technical expertise of the group to strengthen their organizational capacity and enhance their technology leadership through training, collaboration opportunities, and programs. They also receive support from technology and funding partners that share a commitment to using technology for good.
Its an honor to welcome Marie Stopes International to NetHope membership, said NetHopes CEO Lauren Woodman. Marie Stopes has deep experience in implementing programmatic technology in challenging environments, and they are eager to share what theyve learned with the NetHope community.
