SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, October 23, 2019 NetHope, a global consortium of nearly 60 of the worlds leading nonprofits, announced the election of two new Board members, three new nonprofit members, and inducted two new NetHope Fellows into its ranks. NetHope member representatives voted on the additions at the NetHope Global Summit in San Juan, Puerto Rico yesterday afternoon. The following are the newcomers being welcomed to NetHope.
New NetHope Board Directors

A strong, diversified Board of Directors is always important, but particularly so as NetHope leads digital transformation throughout our membership, and throughout the NGO sector, said Lauren Woodman, NetHope CEO. This Board, led by Farhan Irshad, COO of HIAS, is well-positioned to guide NetHope through this next phase of fostering and embracing what it means to be truly digital. It is a privilege to lead alongside such an experienced Board.

Fundación Panamericana Para El Desarollo (FUPAD)
The Fundación Panamericana Para El Desarollos (FUPAD) is a non-profit organization founded in 1962 as part of a unique cooperation agreement between the private sector and the Organization of American States (OAS) in accordance with President John F. Kennedys Alliance for Progress. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., FUPADs mission is to help vulnerable and excluded communities in the Americas achieve economic progress and sustainable social development, strengthen population and civil society, promote participation and democratic inclusion, all while promoting the principles of the OAS: thus, contributing to a Hemisphere of Opportunities for All.
Operation Smile
Since 1982, Operation Smile has provided hundreds of thousands of safe surgeries for those born with a cleft lip and or cleft palate. As one of the largest medical volunteer-based nonprofits, Operation Smile has mobilized thousands of medical volunteers from a wide range of medical specialties from more than 80 countries.
Right To Play
Right To Play is a global organization that protects, educates, and empowers children to rise above adversity using the power of play. We reach 2.3 million children each year in some of the most difficult and dangerous places on earth, helping them to stay in school and graduate, resist exploitation, overcome prejudice, prevent disease and heal from the trauma of war. We do this by harnessing play, one of the most fundamental forces in a childs life, to teach children the critical skills they need to dismantle barriers and embrace opportunities, in learning and in life.
NetHope Leadership Fellows Inductees
Radha Basu, one of NetHopes founders and a past board member, was inducted as the newest NetHope Fellows. Fellows are individuals who have contributed significantly to the mission of NetHope and advancing the cause of digital transformation throughout the sector. Basu has more than 30 years experience in executive management and is widely recognized as a leading woman technology entrepreneur and mentor, and as a pioneer in the Indian software business.
Radha grew Hewlett Packards electronic business software division into a $1.2 billion business. Radha then held the position of Chairman & CEO of Support.com, a Nasdaq-listed company, which she led through initial and secondary public offerings. After her time at SupportSoft, Radha and her husband Dipak Basu launched Anudip Foundation, a social enterprise in India with the mission of generating livelihood opportunities for the unemployed and marginalized youth and young women through training in information technology.
In 2011, Radha founded iMerit, an on-demand digital data services company that delivers data, content, and machine learning services to global companies. Clients include Microsoft, eBay, and Catholic Relief Services. iMerit delivers data services while creating positive social and economic change through IT training and employment. iMerit is headquartered in Kolkata, India and San Francisco, CA and is and funded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, Omidyar Network, and Khosla Impact.
Cory Eaves
Cory A. Eaves is a Managing Director at General Atlantic. In his role, he leads GAs Resources Group, where he provides expertise and strategic counsel to GAs investment teams and is responsible for value creation across its portfolio companies. Mr. Eaves also serves on the firms Portfolio Committee.
Mr. Eaves joined General Atlantic in 2009 from Misys plc, a global provider of software and services to the healthcare and financial services industries, where he was Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer. Additionally, he was a member of the Board of Directors for Allscripts. Mr. Eaves brings more than 20 years of operational experience, including previously serving as Chief Technology Officer of SSA Global, one of the worlds largest enterprise software providers and a former General Atlantic portfolio company
