Virtual Facilitation for Nonprofits Guide | First Installment

Designed to give you the tools you need to excel as a facilitator from day one.

Remote working is not a new concept for global NGOs. As internationally dispersed organizations, INGOs are used to getting their work done in a distributed and virtual way. The global pandemic has only increased the virtual nature of their work forcing many to adopt new practices overnight to adapt to an entirely virtual approach.

This Guide is designed to give you the tools you need to excel as a facilitator from day one. It’s geared towards increasing your facilitation capability, whether you're a first-time facilitator or need a refresher. The Guide will help you engage your audiences, communicate with clarity and empathy, and get the work done. You'll build facilitation fundamentals that will enable you to engage, inspire and lead people in effective and impactful ways.

The first installment of the guide covers Planning, Implementation, and Follow Up steps. It also provides several tips and examples along the way. Future installments will include a resource library with templates (e.g., Agenda, Survey, Facilitation Checklist) and additional tips and examples.
