Programing at a distance and the increased use of digital solutions during the pandemic have created an even stronger need for organizations to skill up internally and support their implementing partners.

In this webinar, part of a monthly ICT4D webinar series, organizations will share their insights from the past year on developing and implementing digital skill frameworks and standards for colleagues or partners. And the diverse speaker panel will discuss lessons learned and barriers of virtual learning and potential of collaborations.

Digital skills

  • What are the main skill gaps right now? How are those being addressed?
  • Updating agency-wide digital skills knowledge management and
  • Trends in capacity building, skill standards, and tools to support digital skills training.

Inclusive Virtual Learning

  • What have we learnt about digital inequalities – around access, affordability, readiness - in virtual learning during the COVID-19 crisis?
  • How does the move into online learning tend to exacerbate exclusion?
  • And what can we do to mitigate this?

Collaboration

  • How are we redefining roles and skills within one organization? (Between HQ and local staff, between program and IT staff, and between different sectors…)
  • How could private sector companies better support digital literary initiatives?
  • How to ensure virtual collaborations are not a one-off due to COVID-19, and that current plans for virtual learning and collaboration continue to empower local teams and partners?

Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and join the debate.
