About this workshop

This workshop is designed to introduce Nethope members to the potential of AI-powered solutions in humanitarian work and provide an overview of the Azure OpenAI platform. Attendees will learn how AI can be used to tackle complex challenges facing their organizations and communities they serve.


The session will begin with an introduction to Azure OpenAI, which is a suite of AI services and tools offered by Microsoft. The speakers will provide an overview of the various AI capabilities available on the platform, including natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning. The session will also cover the benefits of using AI in humanitarian work, such as improving response times, enhancing decision-making, and reducing costs.

The speakers will showcase some examples of how AI-powered solutions are already being used in the humanitarian sector, including disaster response, refugee support, and disease outbreak tracking. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a discussion about the potential of AI for their own organizations and communities.
