Join Workplace for Good to hear how Norwegian Refugee Council has created Workplace bots to improve operations, spur collaboration, and run data-driven initiatives with light mobile chatbot reporting.

Every organization's Workplace journey is different. It’s an evolution that often starts with a need to share information and enable nimble collaboration. It then becomes the place for staff to connect and discuss ideas; where people crowd-solve problems and get stuff done between the head office, the field, and the volunteers. But it can also be more than that.

Using integrations and automation, Norwegian Refugee Council has taken their Workplace by Facebook community further and made it a place where not only people but also systems connect and get stuff done. This relieves staff in repetitive tasks, while spurring new ideas for better service delivery. We are sharing experiences and ideas from building Workplace bots for social good.

Key Takeaways:

  • People quickly take to collaborating with bots. Bot personalities can be designed to reinforce their functions and help people intuitively understand their purpose and functionality.
  • Lessons learned on building bots for NRC staff and what not to do.
  • Answering questions on rolling out a different way of digital collaboration.

Speakers:

Peter Schiøler, Knowledge Technology Adviser at NRC
Annette Gevaert, Head of Workplace for Good at Facebook
