The Summit may be officially over, but there’s still work going on within the walls of the Carton House Hotel!
Tom Abell, Senior Manager at Accenture Development Partnerships, and David Gadsen, Account Executive at Esri, started out bright and early with a Working Group meeting for the GIS program.
Afterwards, Fredrik Winsnes, Health and Monitoring & Evaluation Program Director at NetHope, led the Health Working Group, with the help of David O’Byrne, Chief Technology Officer at iheed, Mika Valitalo, IC4D Program Manager at Plan Finland, Gasden, John Tippett, Program Manager at Grameen Foundation, Kevin Vages, Strategy Manager at Accenture, and Jack Levy, Senior Global Program Director at NetHope.
For a working lunch, Dr. Erin Mote, Chief of Party for the USAID Global Broadband and Innovations (GBI) Alliance at NetHope, and Priya Jaisinghani, Senior Advisor to the Administrator at USAID, held an invitation only working group to discuss the integration of mobile money into development programs. Mote featured case studies from Haiti with World Vision International and Mercy Corps.
Then, Cathy Koop, Education and Serious Games Global Program Director at NetHope, and O’Byrne held an Education Working Group. Once it was finished, Koop then led the final Working Group session, which was Serious Gaming with Kirk Owen, Program Director at NetHope.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Global Member Summit. We cannot wait to see these ideas in action! Until next year!!
