#GivingTuesday is a global event to help raise funding for nonprofits and their response needs in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic—and beyond. We ask that you join us to fund the vital element of technology nonprofits require to help them continue to serve the most vulnerable.A recent briefing, released by NetHope, NTEN, and the Technology Association of Grantmakers detailed how nonprofits are underinvested in technology. These vital tech tools are necessary to deliver aid and without them, many aid workers, and the people they serve, simply lack digital tools and systems to work and live remotely.
NetHope has identified targeted, technology-focused funding as the key constraint to digital adoption.
NetHope wants our 57 member nonprofits to achieve their missions with the help of technology, especially digital. To that end, we have established a Global Aid Technology Response and Recovery Fund to sustain aid delivery in the short term, and drive digital transformation in the sector to Build Back Better. We can create a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable digital infrastructure that will accelerate aid delivery and prepare the sector for future crises.
But we need help. Previous support has helped NetHope respond to hurricanes, earthquakes, and a host of other quick onset disasters over the past 20 years. But the crisis caused by COVID-19 will be enduring and threatens the very existence of many nonprofits, unless we act now.
Please give to the Global Aid Technology Response and Recovery Fund during this #GivingTuesdayNOW campaign!
