Now more than ever, organizations need to put people at the heart of their decision-making processes and in their design of digital technologies to better support the global COVID-19 response. Success is now determined by how we ease the human experience of the crisis and adjust our programming by engaging in two-way communication while practicing physical distancing and adapting to new User needs in a rapidly changing environment.

During this webinar, part of the virtual edition of the ICT4D Conference and ongoing ICT4D webinar series, you will hear practical guidance on how to design, implement, and adapt digital tools or initiatives to meet the changing User requirements during the pandemic.

Discussion topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Putting people at the heart of the innovative design and decision-making processes
  • Moving from human-centered to human-driven:  Designing and adapting U-Report together with the Users, engaging and gaining feedback from the communities during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Lessons learned from designing and implementing an SMS health communication tool during Ebola response
  • Discussing considerations of designing COVID-19 response initiatives with the User
  • Creating innovations and adjusting programming to help close the digital gender gap

Webinar attendees are encouraged to ask questions and join the debate.
