NetHope, an organization that unites the world’s largest nonprofits with technology innovators worldwide, and Salesforce.org, the dedicated social impact team of Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, today announced they are expanding their partnership as Salesforce.org joins NetHope as a founding partner of The Center for the Digital Nonprofit. Through this expanded partnership, NetHope and Salesforce.org will help accelerate and scale digital transformation across the nonprofit sector through collaborative innovation, best practice adoption at scale, and technical expertise.
“This commitment as a founding partner of The Center for the Digital Nonprofit is a natural next step in the Salesforce.org partnership with NetHope, which dates back to 2011,” said Allyson Fryhoff, Chief Strategic Engagement Officer of Salesforce.org. “Salesforce.org has partnered with NetHope to support digital skills and capacity building, including sponsoring the annual NetHope Global Summit, co-sponsoring The Digital Nonprofit Skills (DNS) Assessment white paper, and joining the Impact Cloud coalition.” Salesforce.org previously supported NetHope’s emergency response work, including Super Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
NetHope, a consortium of 57 nonprofits that account for over 60 percent of all annual, non-governmental international aid, launched The Center for the Digital Nonprofit (CDN) in October 2017. Through collaboration, The Center brings together the expertise of the technology sector with the on-the-ground experience of nonprofits to create a foundation for forward-looking organizations to deliver aid, relieve suffering, and build hope. By providing the expertise, resources, tools, guidance, and grantmaking needed for digital transformation, The Center helps nonprofits achieve the efficiency of tomorrow today.
Both NetHope and Salesforce.org are aligned in their common vision to help organizations achieve their missions and measure their impact using data-driven insights and real-time reports, rather than anecdotes alone. This partnership will expand both organizations’ ability to further that commitment. Salesforce.org will be working with NetHope and its members to support the needs of its Data Management and CRM Working Group, and to create a Nethope-based community for impact measurement.
“Our expanded partnership with Salesforce.org will help ensure that NetHope members have the resources, technology, and capacities they need to effectively and responsibly harness the power of technology in their work,” said Lauren Woodman, chief executive officer of NetHope. “We are excited to deepen our relationship with Salesforce.org to help the nonprofit sector both to improve efficiency and to accelerate progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.”
Salesforce.org joins Microsoft, Okta, Blackbaud, Box.org, Oracle NetSuite Social Impact, and Avanade as founding partners of The Center for the Digital Nonprofit. Each company has committed to partner with NetHope and The Center to apply their expertise, resources and networks to advance innovation and collaboration that support The Center’s strategic objectives.
